In this class we do a quick overview of basic selection tools and features then quickly start diving into the intermediate approaches of selecting and masking tricky image elements. From there we start going into more advanced alternate ways of hacking your selections and masks to get a great cut out for compositing. This session will give you a great starting point whether you're a beginner or experienced user in ways to adjust settings or think differently about creating selections and masks.

Dodge and Burn, the OTHER skin technique: While frequency separation is widely known as the benchmark for skin retouching, one other very important pillar is Dodge and Burn. Let’s devote some time to this other (but just as important) technique in order to become a skin retouching powerhouse.

When we’re done, you’ll see there’s some fun things that can actually help make you more creative, offer you new ideas for your images, and even save you some money.

Using Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom Cloud Together

Learn how to get the best of both worlds by taking advantage of the cloud-based features of Lightroom while still using Lightroom Classic as your home base for managing your entire Library. You don’t even need additional cloud storage beyond what comes with the Creative Cloud Photography plan. In this class Rob will help you navigate the potential pitfalls while showing you the settings you’ll need to configure to get the most out of this dynamic duo. You will need to have either the Creative Cloud Photography plan or All Apps plan to access the cloud-based features that will be discussed.
